Quality Math Worksheets Support your Curriculum
After detailed analysis of the two most popular math text books used in elementary schools in the United States (Scholastic & Houghton Mifflin), we organized our index to show which math skills are taught in each week during the school year. Unlike textbooks, our worksheets do not require students to re-write the problem and give plenty of room for doing calculations. Teachers love this for providing homework or additional pratice on practically every math skill you can imagine! You'll love this unique skill listing format! This link gives free access to all Kindergarten & Grade 1 math skills.

Mr. Ed: Kindergarten & Grade 1 Math Tutor - Multi-Language - BETA
Wow! You'll love Mr. Ed as much as the children! Mr. Ed Math Tutor is designed to dramatically reduce the time you'll need to teach the essential Kindergarten & Grade 1 math skills.   Everyone knows that horses make better teachers, so put your kids on Mr. Ed (Ed is for Education) and take a coffee break. Your students won't just be kept busy - They will learn new math skills one step at a time at breathtaking speed. After analyzing the most popular math textbooks in the U.S., we identified the priority Kindergarten and Grade 1 math concepts and teach these in the precise order they are taught during the school year. Mr. Ed & friends begin by teaching a short lesson. Students then click and drag objects and numbers to demonstrate what they have learned. At the moment a wrong answer is selected, we don't just say it is wrong - that would be the easy way out. Instead, a video begins and Mr. Ed tells your students what was wrong and how to correct the mistake. For example, in the 2 digit problem 24+14, if the student drags a wrong number into the one's column, we immediately begin the correction process - we don't wait until the entire problem is finished. Students must then do the same problem again and only advance when correct. Try it for the first time by clicking on Mr. Ed or the Basic Test link at left. We apologize, the database is not yet working.

Alphabet Letter
Memorizing
Trick

Learn Alphabet Letter Names Fast
Click a link to any letter of the alphabet and Print a powerful practice activity that will teach any student the letter names fast! Uses our powerful back and forth Ping-Pong strategy.

SLAPPER

Super Fun! Ice Breaker!
If you have a grumpy or "new" shy student - this is the activity! A piece of paper is divided into 4 smaller squares. You then write a different letter, number, etc. into each box. Call out the name of a letter in the box and the student's job is to "slap" their hand on the letter before you do. If they do it first they get a point. There is a scoring box on the side of the paper. This technique uses "recognition memory" which not only greatly increases success and will generate many smiles and make any new or shy student come out of their shell in seconds!

Teaches Letter Names - Writing the Letter - Positioning Skills -
Basic Phonics & Phonemic Awareness!
You Gotta Try This!
This powerful activity teaches many kindergarten skills in one activity. Students get practice in tracing/coloring the letter, choosing the correct crayon color and important positioning skills (above, below, next to, over, left, right, etc. Can be used with one student but really shines when used with an entire classroom. Put up to 4-5 students at a table along with a pile of crayons in the center. Read the instructions on the activity sheet aloud and watch the lights go on as you walk around the class!

PHONEMIC AWARENESS
"Where Is Worksheets"

Teach Phonemic Awareness with Style!
While phonics is defined as knowing the sound of a letter, phonemic awareness is the skill of identifying where the sound is heard - at the beginning? - middle? or end of a word? Our "Where Is Worksheets" are great for doing this. For example, if we show a picture of a "ball" - the student must pick from two choices what phonics sound is heard at the beginning of the word under the picture.

ALPHABET LETTER
AND PHONICS TEST

Alphabet Letter & Consonant Sound Test

After completing the test, you can print a professional Summary Page showing all results.

Special Trick to Teach Difficult Letters, Sounds and Words
Nothing Short of Amazing!

You won't believe how powerful this "trick" is for teaching letters, sounds and words! Just type the letters or words your student has trouble learning (b-d, was-saw, were-where, etc.). We then put the content into a random back and forth pattern either horizontally or vertically. You then have your student read the content and watch the amazing transformation! This program works because it stiulates the long-term memory transfer of information like nothing you've ever seen! By the way, we received a FAX from Asbury Elementary in Columbus, Ohio stating that the total number of words learned by their Kindergarten students improved by 50% after beginning daily use of the Ping-Pong strategy (see their fax at http://www.readingkey.com)

CVC LEARNING
SKILL 1
SKILL 2
SKILL 3
SKILL 4
SKILL 5

Teach 3 Letter CVC Words in this Powerful Step by Step Process.
CVC words are Consonant-Vowel-Consonant words such as cat - dog - bed - run, etc. These words have a short vowel sound in the middle and consonants at the beginning and end. They are a great way to begin the learn-to-read process since they all follow the same logic for decoding. We use five separate worksheets that gradually increase in difficulty to insure student success. Begin with SKILL 1 that uses only recognition memory which means we give choices for each answer. Students can do this even if they are only moderately familiar with consononant and vowel sounds.

ADDITION ASSESSMENT

View all your students test results in a row by row format in our secure database. Simply register your class, then pick the additions test sums to 9. There are other advanced tests for other math skills but Kindergarten needs to learn only through sums to 9." Grade 1 should be able to complete sums to 18.
